香港钢琴音乐协会及香港-亚洲钢琴公开比赛历史
香港钢琴音乐协会于1988年成立,为香港政府注册之非牟利团体
以推广钢琴音乐及钢琴演奏艺术为宗旨,使香港之钢琴演奏艺术达至国际水平
每年均举办一系列学生音乐会,讲座及大师班,并邀请香港及外地著名钢琴家演奏和主讲
1989年,第一届香港-亚洲钢琴公开比赛由协会创办
香港历史最悠久,最大型及最有影响力的钢琴比赛之一
历届参赛获奖选手有李嘉龄,李云迪,左章,沈靖韬,董菲菲，野木成也，等现在已在国际钢琴舞台上为中国取得了众多的荣誉。

奖项设置:
   1. 各组别评分标准为一百分制，85分以上一等奖[一名]; 80-84分二等奖[若干]；75-80分三等奖[若干]；74分以下优秀奖[若干]；
经过初赛的选手中，三等奖以上即可取得进入香港决赛的资格

2. 初赛一等奖选手的指导老师将获得 “优秀园丁奖”奖状

3. 凡推荐二十组参赛的钢琴教师,可获得申请加入香港钢琴音乐协会资格,并颁发钢琴教师会员证书,并免一年会费

4. 凡推荐二十组参赛的教学机构将获得 “优秀教学机构奖”奖状

公开及高级组 Open and Senior Classes
公开组 Open Class
第1组 Class No.1 - 年龄限于32岁或以下(以截止报名日期前计算)
- Age 32 or below (according to the application deadline).
- 曲目演奏全长45至55分钟The program is between 45 to 55 minutes.
- 参赛者须演奏下列所有曲目Participants must perform ALL of the designated repertoires.
- 第IV项自选曲目之程度须与其它1-3项之程度相等。自选曲目须填写于报名表格上。
The repertoires of the Participants’ own choices should be comparable to the designated repertoires and should be stated on the entry form.
I. 任何两首不同风格之史卡拉第奏鸣曲或巴赫“四十八首十二平均律钢琴曲集”之任何一首
SCARLATTI any two contrasting sonatas of your own choice or BACH any one “Well Tempered Clavier” Prelude and Fugue
II. 海登、莫札特、贝多芬 或 舒伯特任何一首奏鸣曲 one sonata  by  Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven or Schubert
III. 肖邦、李斯特 或 德布西 任何一首练习曲 Chopin, Liszt or Debussy any one Etude
IV. 自选一或多首乐曲 Own Choices (one or more works).
- 初赛(不超过25分钟) First stage (programmer within 25 minutes) :
i. 练习曲 (见III项) Etude (See III)
ii. 奏鸣曲之第一乐章 (见II项) First movement of a Sonata (see II)
iii. 自选曲一首 Own choice
(初赛与决赛曲目可以相同) (First and Final Stages could be the same repertoire)
青年组 Youth Class

- 曲目总长30分钟以内 The whole duration must not exceed 30 minutes
